NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

NARS Review

Do you ever find that you pop into the mall for a few things and find yourself in Sephora  just “window shopping”? It never fails… window shopping at Sephora always turns into a shopping spree. Luckily I had a personal shopper to help me out which is rare at this time of year. The store is literally overrun with Christmas shoppers buying up all of their favorite’s.  (PS: Sephora gift certificates in my stocking are very welcome!) Anyway I was asking this lovely young beauty adviser by the name of Hannah if she could demonstrate the Color IQ tool and see if it could match me to my perfect shade of concealer to help cover the dark shadows under my eyes.  Hannah was happy to oblige and waved the tool over a few area’s on my face and voila… a selection of different products with matching tones appeared on the screen to help narrow down my options.  Among them, she pointed out, was NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Ginger. Hannah however said that for covering the circles under my eyes that Custard might be a better match and she brought them both out to test. Its important to note that Ginger was an exact match and it completely disappeared once blended but to lighten the area under my eyes she was bang on about the Custard.

So other than a beautiful match I have to say that I really love this product! The pigment is very opaque so the coverage is medium to full and can be layered. It doesn’t crease and has optical diffuser’s for a luminous finish and is pretty much flawless!

According to the NARS website; it’s multiactive botanical blends, hydrates, firms, reduces redness, and strengthens the skin by helping its barrier retain vital moisture. It also delivers antioxidant protection to protect the skin against damaging free radicals. Formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates and is crease-proof, long-wearing, dermatologist tested, and non-comedogenic. It is free of alcohol and fragrance”

I give this product 5 Stars!

As a makeup artist I find that I mix a lot of my products together to get the perfect colour no matter what time of year it is.  However I do like a one-and-done product as do average consumers who would otherwise have a tricky time of finding that perfect shade by trial and error so if you have a Sephora where you live swing by and get your Color IQ number. Once you have it then you can explore your Color IQ online.
